Runners are now cut and glued, once the glue cures I will then sand the front of each pad on a nice angle. ;)
I used 1/4 light pine ply so the whole lot weighed next to nothing.

Oz.

Help me out here.
"runners", "rails", "strakes". - What is the right term to use? (You know: I'm danish)

In your case with a "flat cat" it should be no problem to make some lifting, as the cat should be stable itself.
For my part I have to be more "scientific" because it's a huge challenge to stabilize a 12 x 56 inches mono to go at speed above 100 km/h without wobling.
(Thats why I set up the tread "XXX muscle pics?")

So if you (or ANY other) have just a itsy bitsy tiny little advice about runners, rails or strakes for monos, you are very welcome! :)

Cheers! :cheer:

Woodie.

Hi Woodie,
A drag cowl by another name is a canopy for a drag racing boat.
Hope this helps.

Got the runners sanded and blended in to the bottom.
Another good full coat of resin over the whole thing. B)
