Hi Isuzu.

Just remember that I consider it to be cheating if you put wings on that evil cat! ;) I mean: Cats should'nt fly!

For my part I am STILL in the process of making the best fit of the boats sides.
Actually I am my own worst boss when it comes to perfection.

Anyway: Time is on our side so far. I will present new pics soon and hope that you will too.

Cheers! :cheer:

Now Woodie.. it WAS your idea!!! Anyway.. I'm on hold till Thursday when my doorskins get delivered :S :S I found 3 doors and when I broke them apart, they were the wrong material. So I got in touch with a lumber company that ordered 4 sheets for me!!! :woohoo: So I'll do some sanding and fine tuning and be ready to start skinning when I pick them up!!! Should have some update pics this coming weekend!!!

Isuzu ole pal!

You forget that I'm danish. I have no idea of what "doorskins" etc. means. :S
As said, for my part I am just about ready to glue on the boats sides. This is after painstaking measurement of the deck-line just by the eye. Youp! That's not done yet, but will be soon.
Also I will drill a lot of holes in the front spants just to save a little weight.

How about that? B)

C U later alligator!

Moofy my man.

Spants are the wooden profiles, that shapes a wooden boat. An educated person like Isuzu knows that, and now you know it too!
(The best days are those that makes you wiser) ;)
So what the blaze is a "doorskin"?

Cheers! :cheer:

Hi Woodie,
Please forgive me I am only human  (sometimes debatable) yeah, I thought that spants might be sparkly pants, :woohoo: but I was wrong.
As for doorskins, that is spelt with an D. :woohoo: :woohoo: They are the outer sheets of material covering a door. Hence outer sheet as in skin and door as in ah, door :silly: . Now that concludes our english lesson for today. B)

Moofy.
Here in Denmark, Scandinavia, we don't put skins on the doors and certainly not from sheep. We only have doors of massive wood with some paint on.
Ok. Here's a lesson in danish: Jeg fatter ikke en brik af det meste her paa siden.

Isuzu.
Got it! :)

Cheers! :cheer:

Hi Woodie,
Where did the sheep come from? It is also called a door skin (in Oz anyway)on the ouside of car doors.
I am sorry but I may be a bit slow  the extent of my Danish runs to pastry. :woohoo: :woohoo: As for your solid wooden doors, we can have them but they are expensive. I'm guessing it is to help keep you from the cold. B) Now that concludes the weather lesson also.
