1:3 scale garwood speedster wooden boat build!

So got my pdf garwood speedster plans by ftp download a few days ago! after doing some math i decided that a 1/3 scale build would be a bit easyer, since it will be 65"=1:3 scale length, for me to do while taking on a 1/1 scale build. I plan to use the rc build to feel my way threw the big one, by staying a few steps ahead...

Just about finished my 1:1 scale build jig this week so im going to scale the jig measurements down while at work this weekend and knock it out this coming week... pics to come...

Some updates... things are moving along now that I have the 1/3 scale prints to use as templates... what a pain in the A** to make from full scale digital files...lol

Sorry for being gone so long! Had a few of my stepsons baseball tournaments to go to... I got a pic of the 1/3 scale .25" plywood frames with the patterns printed out from my 1:1 scale build, and pasted with 3m spray...

very cousinish to a jersey skiff... the garwood speedster is a scaled down version of the miss america # series that won so many races and was the first boats to hit over 100 mph... i figured if i was gonna do a wood boat it should be a cool one! and since i love RC cars and boats i wanted to do a scale one without even thinking about it...
