Prowler build

goesman created the topic: Prowler build

Hello every body.

I have made a super great start on my boat build. This is a first for me and so far i am very happy. Especially since i am wood working stupid, i am more of a metal fabricator. the last two week ends i have been able to get a lot done. The main supports are made out of some scrap quarter inch ply wood from a local cabinet shop. The skin on the hull is from a old door that i had setting around.
Engine will be a Echo GT-200R 21.2cc that i plan on modding some.

Little echo engine. So far i have modified the base gasket and put a bit larger carburetor that can actually be adjusted on it. the stock card didn't have any way to adjust it. As the build goes i will get a header and tuned pipe and machine up a header flange. Plus i am going to check the timing numbers and see what kinds of changes can be made there along with some porting.

Some of the hardware i have in mind is the XP-2 drive and rudder from warehouse hobbies, a header, tuned pipe and pipe stop from zippkits. I am going to start off with a prather 275 prop to see how it works out.

Thanks for checking it out, if you have any ideas or suggestions shoot the my way.

Hi Goesman.

Just tell your wife, that you love her so much, that you will name the boat after her!
That should do the trick!

Cheers! :cheer:

Welcome to the mad house! :woohoo:
Another prowler build B) I was just saying on another forum that I should carve a custom cowl and make a mold for these boats.

Awwwww! Your little engine is sooooo cute!

The boat looks great, I am starting to see there is a lot of work involved in such a project, as I look over a rigger I have that needs a overhaul for twin motors. Good luck with the build.
