My smokin' Cigarette.

Woodie replied the topic: Re: My smokin' Cigarette.

Hi Kenny.

Thanks for the vids. (I actually have seen them before - they are great)!
Just listen to the sound of that Blata! It makes you fall in love.
The shown boats are HUGE (2.0 meters at least). Imagine what a 40 cc blata can do in a 56" mono (140 cm) like mine!
When I finally get the customized engine rails and the MHZ-sterndrives, I can get on with my build.

Cheers! :cheer:

Good news and bad news!

My build has been standing still for unreasonable long time. Most of all due to my own ambitions about performing the best all the way.

The really good news though is that Steve Seebold right now is machining the customized engine rails and other accessories for my boat. (Pictures of this is shown in another thread by Steve).
(Thanks Steve)!

The really bad news is that after more than 8 months of repeated requesting the double Z-drive is still not available at MHZ in Germany. They tell me that the manufacturer is reluctant to produce a few drives as long as bigger orders rolls in.
This should mean that I will be lucky if I get the drives before Christmas this year...

- Anyway, thanks to Steve Seebold I will soon be able to get on with my build.

Progresses hereafter will be presented in a new thread, as this one seems a bit old and worn out after more than a year. ;)

Cheers!

Hi Kennyrach.

Thanks for some very good advice.
Those Mercury drives looks allmost (but not quite) similar to the MHZ drives, that seems a little more "modern".
Anyway hardware and function could be the same thing. I will look into this to learn more about quality and price.

Again: THANKS!

Cheers! :cheer:

Things are really going my way now!
The stern drives from Arrow Shark are on my shelf now.
Steve Seebold has shipped the very customized engine rails with accessories. It will be great to receive them very soon.
A couple of (optimistic) 7018/3 counter rotating steel props from PropShop should arrive next week.
Finally I can get on with my build (no excuses left now).
When all of the hardware is at hand, I will post some pics.

Cheers! :cheer:

(And now off to the workshop - to clean up and remove the spider webs)
