48" Wildthing set up

Hi all
I have a question about the 48" Wildthing....
How do you set it up??
where should I place the engine?
what style of drive should I use?
how lond should the ruader be?
and any other info that can help me finish this projet will be nice THANK YOU

HI john their many way to do it . I did one that i building now with Hi all it came down to running this boat with electric motors and I cannot find any place to run it on LI NY only salt water so I go with a Leopard L4074 2200KV 4 pole brushless motor or Castle 2028 780kv any set up will use these battery and ESC
ESC: Castle ICE 200hv up to 12s Lipo
Batts: Flightmax 5s 5800 30c's x 4 for 10s2p.
Electrical horse power is 745.7 watts = 1 horse-power
aluminum adjustable stinger drive for 1/4" shaft (VERSION 2) with teflon bushings inserted. Stinger length adjusted. Ultra strong. Anodized in silver. Suitable fro 45" - 62" and onwards deep v. Specification: see pictureI use the drive for gas or electric set up.i also use this engine mount for gasAnd for the engine i place it 4 1/2: of the forward bullhead and the lower point i can get it and i use a 150mm X 160mm extended rudder it 150mm off back of boat and 160mm down in waterAll my flex cable are 1/4".Here one of my boat i finishing nowalso my post on this site in under kennyrach

I'll attach a couple pics of the transom of my Prowler, but I'd set up your mono the same. The stinger is from Zippkits. The rudder is an Aeromarine with a homemade standoff. The trim tabs and turnfin are also homemade. Zippkits sells stingers, rudders, trim tabs, and turnfins that are good quality and the price is very reasonable. I would mount your motor as far forward as you can get it, just about right up against the bulkhead at the front of the engine compartment. What engine were you planning to use? Doug

as for the engine im looking at a 28cc Talon but still looking at any think

Thanks for your help, where I leve there is no one around to help whith any questions or info the thing is I'm a littel lost whith what i need from the engin to the prop?
I'm going to run a 1/4" square sharft and adjustable stringer shaft holder but what elss do I need to make this work right?
or am I going in the rong way?

No eBay APP ID défined in Kunena configurationHi looking good bud for what i can see in the pics.I have built 5 of the 48 wildthings and sill at lol.Now doing the weedy thing is OK but this i can tell you that what you are going to spend in setting up a engine in $$$ is not far off a proper engine.time u find this part and that part your going tobe up there in price,What parts ill list is what i found the cheapest and works for me you can take it with a grain of salt or not lol.You can look up my build on this forum under wildthing vs prowler or on (jims rc boat dock )under 48 wildthing.

The engine i use is the sikk 27.4 with the 4 bolt head
