That's an interesting way of doing throttle linkage. Does the link rod float in the joints, or does the rod take up the torque movement?

Gordon, Pete is at the "the outlaws" for Mother's Day dinner. LOL Pete's birthday ( celebration ) and his Mom's dinner were yesterday.

Those are 1/8" speedo flex cables. I counter drill the carb shaft and Loctite (638) the flex in. The servo end is simply cut to length and held in the servo adaptor with a set screw. Peter sets his up with the square end of the cable in the adaptor. That way when ever it comes out, it goes back in, in the exact same position each time. Nothing has to be re-set. The cables flex ( as you can see ) with vibration and eng. movement, but the rotation stays steady, so the carb setting remains where you want it.

The SRI 30.5 Pioneer fired quickly. But because it was the first bag of fuel, Pete had the Power Spark rev limiter set to 17,500. With little 1/8 blips on the throttle, the eng. is spluttering ( soft touch type limiting ) on the limiter. After a couple more bags the limiter can be set for 23K or so, like the MK hybrid, and the top end will clean right out. This currently has the stock QD button. BIG smiles on this end!
