i have a 57 apache and am thinking about building a cat i want some thing that would be easy to set up and can handle a chop of about 4-8 in at max normally the the chop is around 3-6. the boat is going to be a sport boat. Thanks for the help

If looking for something in the normal size range (45" approx) I would recommend the Seaducer cat or the Insane Gen2 cat. Both of these really like chop. Otherwise, move up to bigger cats like the Pro Offshore 50" cat from Aeromarine. Expresscraft also makes big cats...I have never owned one though, so I can't comment on the quality of them. The other 3 I mentioned, I have owned all of them and they are good quality.

The Avenger is a good boat and looks GREAT, but I would recommend the Conquest over the Avenger. It is similar, but is a bit better suited to the power of today and to rougher water.

Good looking hull! could you tell me if any one one sells a good out rigger hull for gas?

there are many riggers on the market. G-Force, Hurricane, CajunBullet, Ellison, etc.etc. The Grims have one coming out soon as well.

back to the topic at hand...if you are wanting a cat for sport boating thats gonna handle some good chop, id probably consider the Expresscraft Lightning cat over most of the "race" cats.
