Hey guys I'am new to gas so I have a neewbe question.I bought a 36 in. sprint cat used with a quick draw motor in it this summer.Had a lot of trouble trying to get the carb set on it so I ordered a new wt 257 for it.The proplem is that my old 257 has another hose coming from the bottom of the carb that runs into the motor right beside the carb.Any idea's?

Swap the plate (with fitting) over from old carb to new - use new gaskets though

I found a vid of the boat running at Goggle- my buddy 36 areomarine drag sprint cat in testing That's why I bought it . Last time set the carb at home got to the pond made a few adjustments and it quit. Now cannot get any gas to prime when you cover the outlet.Gas line going in is flowing. Had someone rebuild it once. Any other reason beside the carb why no prime?
So found the carb on sale so ordered.If I change the bottom plate will the same style gasket be ok?
QD states that there is another carb that is suppose to be better .-- 33 But for now just try the 257 again

Engines need "3" things to run - compression (ring, seals - gaskets) - spark (plug, pickup, coil - keyway) and fuel (carb, isolator, lines, tank - filter) check and see if you have all the "Big 3"

It may not prime for few reasons
- carb put back together wrong or wrong gaskets
- pulse line plugged or cracked
- fuel line plugged or cracked
- spark good (pickup or coil gone bad)
- bad spark plug
- flywheel spun on key and timing off
- vent (fuel supply ) plugged
- gaskets hard and leaking - carb or engine
- seals leaking
- warped or cracked isolater (carb intake)
- ring stuck or broke

Have to pick one or two - check and try to narrow down
