Need help setting up a mono for the first time.

Stinger and rudder will clash. I should be able to grind away some of each hopefully to get it to fit properly.
Have to go to the hardware store tomorrow and get a cut off wheel for aluminium.....more money! haha
I keep having to buy all these little "one off" things that are adding up. Oh well as long as she runs I'll be happy.

Before grinding or cutting anything post a picture of what you have done so far

something's not right if stuff is hitting

Haven't got far yet. Just marked the transom and mounted the stinger and turn fins. Trim tabs only arrived today so they're next, then I was going to see how much room I had for the rudder. If I mount it flush against the stinger without grinding anything it will be 5mm short of the 2 1/2" mark. That should be fine do you think?

I don't think will bother you a lot as long as you get it straight up and down

If you look at my rudders I use a "T" bracket so there is bolts on either side
if you use a "L" mount bracket it can get close

Yeah, I've got an L bracket. Very similar to the one you posted. That's set my mind at ease a bit, I'll forge on ahead to the next road block then! haha

This looks like a delta force hull. THey are a great race hull. Go to there web site and you should be able to get the set up instruction from there for this hull. I do have a copy from the last one I purchased from them. Please see attachment

Aussie, are you measuring 440mm from the transom to the centre of the plug for a Zenoah?
What's the 500mm for?

Ok guy's, here's where I'm up to. Any input would be appreciated. A question with the servo mounts, is it better to epoxy them on or bolt them down? You can see the epoxy I have. Or would doing both be the the best?

They must be bolted solidly through the bottom of the radio box. Even that sometimes needs wood epoxied to the underside so it is thick and strong. Bolts and nuts and never use wood screws for anything.
