The billet hybrid wasn't a simple mod.
the stock block GX31 and GX35 do respond well to typical hot rod mods, the key is in the cam. But unfortunately I'm not making cams for them anymore.I might try to do something down the road.

Seems most rc parts these days that onlt one's worth having are billet - QD _ JG

To me means someone wanted something 'just a touch better ' ......... now if it's a black anodized billet part (like a case or cylinder) ...

Looks like I need to look up a GX31. Never heard of it? But in the lawn equipment biz, the only cool stuff I see is what I build from weedeaters I want to get out to some races and just watch and listen. Just another spendy habit my wife says!!

The Honda GX31 has been out since 1997, I've been using them for the past 12 years.They aren't going to light the water on fire but are fun and different.

Another ? I was having probs tuneing a carb on one of my boats. finally figured out it the pulse line nipple drilled into the insulater. It was leaking air. It gives the pulse for the water pump. Is it takeing away power or performance? The pulse line on my other boat comes right out of the block.?????

No its not taking away performance. Some argue the the extra volume of the line to the pump reduces primary compression but it changes the crankcase volume by less than 1 percent.
I wouldn't worry about it.
