Why 4 stroke? Stihl has the 4 mix with valves?

The 4 mix is a four stroke. Shindaiwa and Dolmar also have four strokes that oil in a similar fashion.To get one over 30cc is out rageously expensive.


The Honda is cheap by comparisons.

Still wondering why a 4 stroke. the 4 mix is lighter. Cost only? Honda is quality. Wait now I get it 4 stroke with NOS???

Wow $289 for the kit? I think I could build it for less??

The 4 mix has issues with the intact tract that have a negative effect on intake flow.great set up for a trimmer, not so great for a boat engine that needs to turn some rpm.

Hot Rod I have a B & S 4 stroke weedeater engine. 3/4hp Good compression needs carb or carb rebuild. starts with carb cleaner. Model# 21032-0562-e1 ser#0510172a You pay the shipping and i'll give it to you! 11 lbs. I own a mower shop and it was left by a customer.

But 4 stroke does not turn high rpm??? Great torque!

My typical Honda GX31 turns 13,500 with a Prather P275.
The Honda GX35 I built (its in the Super Sport ) runs 14,000. With motor mounts,exhaust system, carb, collet adapter it only weighs 6.2 lbs.
I have a water cooled billet head hybrid based on a GX31 that ran 16,400 first time in the water with guesstimated needle settings
I'm not done tweaking on that engine.
I also built a lightened GX31 with zenoah ignition to cut weight from the big flywheel. that was put in an AC Model Boats Wildthing with normal oil level, 10oz gas,gps and tach on board that boat only weighed 15 3/4 pounds.
GPSed at 41-43 mph on several back to back runs.

I've had Zen's (by Mod builders) that wouldn't do that .... Lol that's something like I'm interested in - simple mods and HONDA
