Boost bottles?

What if one were to use a airbox that is pressurized by a 'ducted fan' would that work with a tuned pipe ?

Been playing with ducted fans for while and was thinking of using a airbox (like Paxton Supercharger does on cars)

Anything to be gained this way ?

Thanks = Wouldn't 't want to PO anyone

Ya kind of what I been playing with - first was just ducted fan - but issues controlling speed of fan vs speed of motor - but with a pressurized air box I like that idea better

Gotta try stuff - not a racer I can do what ever I want
(as long as wife ok's it) :woohoo: :woohoo:

A 4 stroke, fuel injection, engine can open a lot of engine modifications. Yes there is a lot of added hardware / weight, but it all can be shrunk or combined into one or multiple units.

You guys are cool I'll tell you the unit I have in mind.
After getting harangued and told I was stupid it won't work etc I wasn't going to share, but I will with you guys.
Its on the market, it works. Its used on 1/5 scale buggy and an aircraft engine.
I was talking about the Surefire™ EFI System.
There are actually four sensors mounted directly to the throttle body.
1.Intake air temp
2.Crankcase temp
3.Throttle position
4.RPM

It automatically adjust to the maximum RPM at WOT to compensate for differant loads, muffler/pipe and applies any change across the entire pre-programmed fuel map.

It does this each and every time the throttle is opened.
As soon as can get an EFI unit by itself I'm going to get one.

Bob, thats looks like simple system on the Evolution 62GXI. Being a reed valve engine, do you think it would be a hard conversion to piston valve? Or would it be easier to convert the engine to marine use?

Its on a piston port 26cc buggy engine also.Should be plug and play.
Not sure how much the unit would cost by itself but the entire engine isn't that much.
