Assembly:
Build the cover with the inside piece (the piece that screws to the carburetor) flat on the table. I work over a piece of waxed paper to avoid gluing the cover to the table. I use medium CA and accelerator to assemble the cover then seal it inside and out with epoxy.
Start by tacking on the tip of the lower side. Once dried put CA on the edge of the inside piece and bend the side along the its edge. Hold until cured.
Now do the same with the other side piece.
*NOTE: if the tip of the first piece is extending past the tip of the inside piece, sand it flush before installing the second side piece.
Now that the second side piece is on, sand the tips of the side pieces so that they taper flat into the tip of the inside piece. This is so that the top piece will sit flat on the two side pieces.
Now glue on the top piece. Start by just gluing at the tip and letting cure. Then apply glue and bend the top piece down onto both side pieces and let cure.
When you're done it should look something like this. Don't worry if back edges don't all match up...that's ok...just block-sand them all flush. Then do all other edges of the shield and your all done! Ready for sealing!
