Thanks Andre...as a matter of fact, your Warpath should be ready shortly also as I have been building the sponsons for both at the same time. :)

The yellow pyramids are just that... painter's pyramids! :) Here is a link to them at LeeValley... they come in extremely handy! www.leevalley.com/en/wood/page...t=1,43456,43390

Back up a few years, you never would have got me to even think of building wood boats! Blazer and Zipp got me goins, now I'm really starting to love it! Builds keep getting better every time! This kit really does go together nicely. I'm very happy with them.

Getting some rear shoes ready. They are CNC cut from solid pine and lined with 1/16" Finnish birch on the ride surface. Final shaping done by hand.

Marc that is one nice looking rigger you are building for Juicefruit. :woohoo:
You are making the build look real easy. You can not beat building wood boats. I just started the third Backlash. Getting eaiser each time. Looking forward to seeing this when done.

I designed this kit to make it as easy as possible to build a high quality rigger. Took a bit of brainstorming, but talking with Scott and some more thinking I think I put together a nice kit that just about anyone with basic skills can build, AND without having any special tools! In other words, I designed the kit for guys like me!!! :D

There are several kits out there, so hopefully others will share their builds soon. :)

Excellent how it is presented Marc. Andre also told me, never knew there was so much work involved in building a rigger. I guess the box-shape tub fools us all.... untill you build one yourself!

Have not been bit by the "rigger-bug" but who knows..... :side:

Doubling up the access covers. Notice the front one is curved to fit the shape of the front of the tub. This is pretty easy to do, just keep it slightly bent as the glue between the two layers cures. The doubler used for this cover is the one that's cut cross-grain. It's easy to tell the difference, not only by looking at it, but also by the fact that it bends a lot easier than the pieces that are cut along the length of the grain.

For the flat covers, install the doubler so the grain is opposite to the cover piece. This will make them work against one another and keep the cover straighter.
