Yes it is. I was impressed to say the least! I'm rained in today so I will do some prepping..hopefully I can get back out tomorrow and finish dialing it in.

Looking at that boat, I think if you tweaked it, were able to offer some setup ideas, etc; you could offer plans or a kit and a LOT of us on here would be interested! I like the new Zippkits rigger (waiting for the the cowling) but I would be inclined to consider one like yours!!!!!

You know, if it works out, I would consider offering free plans on the website. We'll see how it all pans out and I'll take it from there. All I can say at this point is that speed is not an issue. I just need to tweak the turning a little bit and we'll be good to go. It's already running as fast if not faster than many out there!

Echoing what others are thinking; YESSSS!!!!! If it works out and you are inclined to do so; awesome... Let's see how it works for you at the race!

Made some progress with the rigger testing. I ended up going with rear shoes for now. It scrubbed a little bit of speed in the straights, but pulls better through the turns and handles much better. Runs right around 70mph as is. I am off to the races tomorrow morning...we'll see if it finishes heats! :)

I am happy to report that the rigger ran pretty good in it's first race ever at the Northern Nats. I didn't take home wood, but this was good testing grounds for the boat and it pulled through with shining colors. I will make further improvements, notably in propping but it's showing a lot of potential. I was tickled to death all weekend running it, and was just like a little kid with a new toy. It really brought me back to how it all used to feel for me when I first started playing with boats. From the build table to the water...and successful at that. Can't ask for much better! :)

* I really must send out a HUGE thank you to Mark Grim for all the help and tips setting up this boat and making it a success...never would have been possible in such a short time without his help!

I keep thinking about a rigger and have read the build article many times over!
Need to pick up a proper engine first, so one day!lol
Cant wait to see some vid of it running when you get it all sorted!
Congrats! ;)
