There are still builders out there that build and sell hulls at good prices i should know im one of them.Ive been building and selling hulls for arround a year now.I build boats for those who cant afford to spend $100 s on hulls .So far over 40 hulls sold with 100% good feedback recieved.Ive sold both to the uk and europe ,i agree though most hulls cost a lot sometimes way too much and in fact a lot of the time the price doesnt reflect in the quallity.I started doing this to help a few friends out and i still continue to build aiming at the new guys in the sport mainly although im developing new designs as we speak aimed at everyone.Boats dont have to cost a fortune to be great quallity ;) .

Well said Mart ... I know some people look down at RC boats because they aren;t a 'name brand' or some of my parts may have came from China.............

Not wanting to blow my own trumpet so to speak mate but many of the people who have one of my hulls have said they are more than equal in quallity to the big named suppliers they have bought from .Some have said better so i must be doing something right.I have a cpl hulls here i wouldnt sell that came out of the moulds early on that i wasnt happy with. One day ill find a worthy cause to donate them to im sure.

hey all just found this site today ,, wow
this is my first build .
here is my eliminator hull i found & traded an old compressor for it ,the internal wood stringers and transom from a kitchen cabinet makers scrap bin, its baltic birch ,
after 1-1/2 years in my friends works shop ,(actually i met him on a local kijiji site , i was looking for a machinist to help me make a water cooling jacket for the head, he has a complete machine shop is his basement lol ...)
just need to do some tweeking and i can toss it in the lake. 90% of this boat is hand made with my friends help, the rudder set up and turn fin are 3/16 s/s from old butcher knives, the engine was free, only the prop , radio, water pump(from a local harley repair shop) and misc parts had to be purchased, as it turns out i found a great friend and lots of help , he used to race nitro's back in the early 70's .and a local body shop sprayed it chevy silver when he did the next car he was painting with 3 coats of clear = $40.00 .
i figure this hobby is alive and with some new friends along the way i now have 3 boats in the works ,, even one for my wife,
i have learned a ton of things building this boat and i am very proud of it,
cant wait to see it fly.

Road: Boat looks great! I'm sure you'll have a blast with it. Plus it is very gratifying to know you did most of the stuff yourself! Good job!

My first boat, the boat was from Zippkits.com, and was very cheap (Cost) $60.00 or so.
I spent right around 80 hrs assembling it, with the Engine and electronics I have about $550.00 into it.
