All Alloy Airboat Engine Mount!

Ozpulse created the topic: All Alloy Airboat Engine Mount!

Working on this at the moment for my 32cc gasser, still needs some finishing yet!
Uprights are 3mm hardened alloy plate, mounting brackets are also all 3mm and the rudders are 1.5mm alloy.

Awwwww! Your little engine is sooooo cute!

Got some more done!
Self modded high flow muffler box, not shiney and new but hey its a homebuilt.
Thankfully an old blower fuel tank I had in the shed fit perfectly between the uprights behind the engine.

Also made a nice alloy arm to connect the carby to the throttle servo pushrod.

Nice work on the air boat, Ozpulse.

Which MFGer makes that engine?

I cannot see evidence of a rope starter on that bad boy so
I guess you will be starting it by the prop???

Cheers mate! ;)
Its a 32cc MacCulloch longshaft weedy engine, if you look between the prop and flywheel you can see I modded the original rope starter pulley to fit in there.
It still ratchets one way so you just lock the knot on the end of your pull rope in the slot and wind it up to pull start. Just like the old style pull starts the rope just releases at the end of the pull.

Quick vid of my son cutting doughnuts down the sandflats on sunday.

A couple of pics. as it sits now, I havent put the prop guard back on yet as it seems to be balanced just right at the moment.
Could use another paint but it has seen plenty of use and I might build a slightly smaller/lighter hull to replace this one yet.
