Alright guys, heres a simple but puzzling question, for me atleast. Where do I mount the strut on my deep-vee? It is 58'' long and wood.

Most of us mount the strut for "surface drive"...in other words, the stuffing tube comes out the transom, and NOT under the boat. More like Picture 1. A good place to start with a lot of Deep Vees is about 1/2" above the keel (bottom of V). If you make the hole oval shape UP/Down you can adjust the strut at the lake for tuning.

You may also want to offset the strut 1/4" to the right to overcome prop walk too.
