WeedWhacker shaft

HI im new here and i just bought a 32cc weedwhacker and stripped it down to the centrifugal clutch. it has a square female coupling and i need something to use as a shaft. any ideas? i considered using the flex cable it came with but theres no way to get the end off without cutting it. thanks--seth

Hi, welcome,
Don't despair, you can buy flex drives with square end already made (1/4"). Just cut them to the length that suits you, or it may if you are very lucky be the length you reqiire.

Hi,
You will also need a hub and shaft to attach for your prop.

Check out Warehouse Hobbies...they will have most of what you need for your Weedy project. Here's a link to the cables...has some good pictures showing how a typical square drive setup is assembled. Hope this helps.
