Hi all
My name is Marc Huider from the Netherlands.
I start building my first wood scrats boat when I was 16 years, actualy it was a F1 tunnel boat with K&B .67 outboard, sinds then I'm totaly hookt on F1 powerboads. A couple off years I sold my 2 K&B .67 outboards + hulls and at this moment I'm building my 2th 1/4 scale F1 with RCMK outboard. (I sold my 1st Hull with Zen outboard) I have allso two 25 inch F1 hulls with .21 OS outboards, a 40 inch mono with CMB .21RS, a PPB Dragcat and a 32 inch hydro (Miss Madison) allso with CMB .21RS. Because my little son, 6 years old now, has seen the movie "Miss Madison" I build him a 32 hydro like in the movie (still building) and while I was buisy building that hull, his dad start building the "Rockett" from zippkits. You have to know that I haven't building wood sinds my first boat, but I still like it. pfffff........ back to my question; I'm that far building my "Rockett" that I have to chose my hardware. In the instruction manual they talk about a .250 strut and a large rudder. Can someone tell me the distance from transom to begin rudderblade and whyI sould have that distance (this is my first inboard build setup)Now I have seen some hardware from a German company, rudder 0.8 inch from transom to begin rudderblad (can I use this or not and why/ why not ??) The strut would not be the hardest to chhose.
Thanks for reply
Regards
Marc
