We just signed a deal for the fiberglass cowlings.
If everything goes okay with the sample we receive, we will start shipping as soon as we get the cowlings.

We will try to keep everyone posted, but to make sure you get any updates, send us an email with the subject Rivett Mailing List.
This will get you on the mailing list.

The Rivett and Rockett kits are now shipping!
Only 6 months late...

We are making our own cowlings now (don't ask), so the going is slow.
We have hired someone to help with the production of these, and are taking orders.

Here's how it works;
You email us and let us know which hydro kit, and how many you want.
We put you on the list, and when your kit (cowling) is ready, we will send you a PayPal invoice.
You can then pay for your order and we will ship.
Or, you can change your mind. In that case, the next name on the list gets the invoice.

As soon as we get caught up on the cowling production we will dispense with the waiting list, as we will have complete kits in stock.

These are the 46 inch round nose (Rivett), and 46 inch dropped sponson round nose (Rockett).
A Zenoah engine fits fully within the hull (under the deck) with a standard 90 degree header and pipe.

We have redesigned the deck and deck attachment, and really like the way this kit goes together.
With all CNC cut parts, you can frame up either of these kits without glue!

The introductory price is US $169.00 and US $22.00 for shipping (two boxes).

Each kit includes:

CNC cut birch ply parts for entire hull
CNC cut 1/4 birch ply engine rails
CNC cut radio box with 1/16 ply lid and wood servo mounts
CNC cut 1/8 lite ply decks
Stainless turn fin with aluminum bracket and stainless mounting hardware
Epoxy glass cowling
61 page photo illustrated, step by step, spiral bound building and setup manual.
With identical bottoms, the Rockett is much easier to build, due to it's dropped sponson deck.
Something to consider if you dislike compound curves...

Do you want one?

Okay, back to the epoxy!

Joe, I watched the vid on your website of the Rivet and that is impressive! Have you had any opportunities to flip it and stuff it or roll it?
Nice Job!

Not yet Len!

That is our only Rivett for display, so we really don't want to destroy it.
That said, the Riv has never given any indication of blowing off, hooking or rolling.
There are more vids on youtube. Search Zippkits.

Frank B. has run his Rivett, and reports that it needs far less turn fin than we currently ship it with.
We simply need to get more hulls out there and on the water, before we can truly determine the limits.
