I would like to help you, several years ago I start to building of hobby boat with Homelite and I look helpful info @ shark-racing site. It live now with new name.

Some of the content from the old Shark Racing site is posted here on MGB.com in the Ressources section with permission from Carlos (original owner of Shark Racing), but you can also find a lot of it still archived on the web at this link: web.archive.org/web/2003041602.../Tecnicaing.htm hope you can find some info there to help you out. I personally never experimented much with the Homelites, I was still in nitro at that time! :)

hey thanx alot i got the hull built and the motor mounted and the stinger and rudder on ,waiting in the stuffing tube,i work at a machine shop so i made most parts there,not sure about the stuffing tube tho.my motor has a clutch with a post on it,i have to adapt the flex shaft some how!!how does the stuffing tube seal and not back draft in water?

Most clutch output shafts are square inside...you can purchase square ended flex cable or use the one that came with the weedeater. As for the stuffing tube there is no need to seal it. The motor end of it usually ends up above the water line of the hull so the water doesn't come in. Plus the grease you use to lubricate the shaft will make a seal also. :)
