hi im trying to work out the best hight to drill in the flex shaft hole for the stinger drive im going to be using and best placment for the rudder.
on a 56 in apache mono....
i read some where that it neads to be up a bit from the bottom edge of the transum. is this right and if so how high up or how of set . just want to do it once and do it right...

Drill the pilot (small) hole at 1/2" above the bottom of the keel. Then open it up to the size of your stuffing tube and elongate for up/down adjustment. Install the rudder so it's centerline is inline with the centerline of the starboard (right) side stringer. That will work.

Directions could'nt be any better! Jus a quick hint...make sure that the bottom of the stinger is at least 1/16 to 1/8th of an inch off the bottom of the hull. Will create less drag.
