dumas 40" skater.67to 26cc conversion???

got this boat for 140bucks paint is (auto 2 stage with clearcoats) boat is not made anymore?? probably sales?? But I,m putting in a full mod 26 in it, Or maybe a j&g kit. Gas wasn't a option (67.-91.nitro) It should work I think it is going to handle very well and be very fast, But maybe not? it has a pretty deep tunnel 2" A little concern is being top heavy? at 13" wide. ;)It's lookin good, I,m using a aircooled chainsaw motor for machup which is a bigger and little taller than a 26cc. This hull is superlight it's not much more than 2 1/2pounds. It,s a tight fit for the pullstart as far as mounting the motor far enough forward for proper CG. This boat is gonna scream if it handles good! I,m hoping to be in the 70+mph. area

it,s looking doable. I,m getting a FASTRAT hybrid g23/27 with a CC adjustable pipe for $300 for now I,m going to order a new speedmaster skeged strut and rudder THIS week unless I can findem used.the hull only weighing 2 1/2 pounds! should be quick. I would like to eventually put a 20ei zen in it
but sources say everthing the starter, head, pipe, carb and mounts need to be scratch built.I,m also aqiuring a supercat boat aswell. I got the boat rtr with 27cc for $500

I,m going to reinforce the bottom of the hull with carbonfibermat for strength and looks, But will first get the boat together and see if it will be a performer. I,ve picked up some balsa and balsaply for 5bucks and some CA to make 2-5*3*5 radio boxes one wood and one a little thiner but covered with carbon.

Hi there
No I mainly run it in the sea wich is accross the road from my house.
The engine is from a Homelite weed eater. These 25cc engines are not the fastest engines around but can be modified to give better performance and the best thing is that they are dirt cheap
They are also indestructable, as my hull is only 30" long and I am running it in the sea it dosen't take much wind chop to get it air born. As a result I have sunk it many times in salt water! But as long as you strip it down straight away and clean it out it will start every time.
With my set up there is no need for water cooling because the engine is so exposed has good airflow around it. I am using a Prather rudder and prop set up.
A boat like this wont win any championships but is very cheap to make and a hell of a lot of fun to drive
Cheers
Crusty
