My Arrowshark.

QDRevenger created the topic: My Arrowshark.

Here are some pics of my latest build 47inch Arrowshark. Motor is a QDHT, QD WTC hotpipe with muffler same as my Avenger. Zac's drop mounts, Speedmaster hardware. Haven't had much of a chance to get on flat water with this, best speed so far is 57mph, waiting on a few different props to try, not many of the Avenger props suited the mono. Any questions please ask.

It's getting faster. 57mph was the last GPS speed I got, but after some testing on Saturday it was really flying, I made an ABC 2716 20deg round eared and put in heaps of cup. Nearly as quick as my Avenger. Over 60mph anyway. Still has plenty of potential. Waiting on a new GPS.

That really is a sweet looking boat! I am envious of the powerplant!!!! :o

So how was the quality of the hull itself?

Thanks Marc, The QD's are all I run at the moment. ;D

Build quality of the hull was good, better than expected after posting my intentions on another doc. Very happy with the hull.

I can see why so many guys like the mono's, I have only ever raced Cats. This was the first mono I have. I love it. :)

Thanks for the comments. Graphics hand cut with a knife and scissors. Took me 8 hours. Won't do that again. :)

Here is a video of it running at our testing day. Pretty windy 25knots+ check out the reeds in the background. Having trouble keeping the throttle on up wind, managed to flip it a few times. I can flip it coming out of the corner quite easily. Got to be gentle on the throttle.

Such a fun boat:) , I have stuffed it nearly everytime I have run it:silly: , still holding together, I even hit the bottom of the river we ran on last week.

May I ask you a question from Japan.
How long place the motor from the back of the transom to the center of the sparkplug?

Funky_Yuki,

My Arrowshark is set up with the spark plug to transom at 18inches. This will vary depending on the motor you are running. Having built mine with a Quickdraw I would still like to move the motor further forward. With a mod Zen I would think 18inches would be ok, with a stock one I would think that you will need to move the motor further back.

Hopefully someone who has set one up with a Zenoah will post their setup for you.
