Friends factory RTR from WHH only his second time out --- he has enough problem right now just keeping it on water -- i'll help him tune once he figures out driving

Took him 6 months just to get to water first time - burnt up first engine and two recoils just trying it at home till I ran into him ... now he can at least start it .....

My Drambuie would not even get going with out waves crashing bow

IMHO there is a lesson to learn from both vids.
Sailing on rough sea is a challenge for really tough boats and really experienced drivers.
Also it's obvious that a heavy boat with lots of power is needed, as plowing is better than uncontrolled jumping...
- Not a job for flopsy and sissy lightweight screamers made for flat ponds only...
(Knowing that no speed records will be set when sailing real offshore).

I learned two lessons here

1. Don't park my truck so close to water - as Gordon likes to park under my truck
2. Use wide angle on camera because I'm never sure which way Gordon is going.

Just two guys playing with toy boats on a windy day - nothing more. Once Gordon has more practice he will get the hang of it .... for now he just has to learn to stay on the water ...
I though Gordon was pretty good and honest guy thats why I have spent so much time helping him get his boat on the water.

It did look like my driving a few years back. I've worked hard to get race ready.Next season will be my 4th.We tested 2x a week this year.I came along way.Testing that much will help Gotta be committed.I had to travel 1:15 hrs each way.
