Challenger 48"

Krolleg created the topic: Challenger 48"

I purchase this boat 2'nd hand for about 2 mounth ago. Nerly finished (all things un used) for a realy good prise.

The projekt goes slow due to winter and ice.

Engine: Zenoah 26 PUM
Pipe: Un known, I think it is a China black-coated pipe.
Octura rudder and strut.
1/4" Flex cable.

What i have done so far?
I have installed radio box, servos, fuel tank, hatch fittings and a bracket for the pipe.

What left to do? Almost nothing :), gone put in the reciver and battery pack.
But then the next big projekt - paintwork. Need to fix some gelcoat cracks before put some paint on it.
The paint gone be blue with blue flakes, and then some nice flame work and maby some small extra touches, and last alot of clear coat :)

Nice boat! That pipe looks like it might be a CC Racing steel pipe...not sure, but the flange looks familiar. I had a Challenger 48 as one of my first gas boats and I loved it!

Time for some updates.

I have worked out all the gelcoat cracks and put some primer on the boat.

And latest I have stardet to paint the boat.

The paint does not look even right now. But thats because the clearcoat/flakes mix. Gone loock good later when the finish clear coat comes on.

I really want to see how this boat comes out. I bought a boat and the seller gave me a Challenger unfinished shell along with it. I'm planning to build the Challenger from scratch (first boat project for me).
