New Warpath Rigger - Andrew "Faster" Castan

marc created the topic: New Warpath Rigger - Andrew "Faster" Castan

First off I would like to thank Andrew for being patient with me. I built a boat for him and brought it with me to test at a race (before the actual race of course) a few weeks back and things just didn't work out. I had tons of servo problems and just never could get the boat dialed in for him. When I got back home I realized there were a few things I wanted to change on the boat and that would mean drilling new holes and such. I wasn't happy with that and didn't want to send him a boat that had been reworked so I built a whole new one, including tub and two sets of new sponsons, a cowl and a custom boat stand.

Here are a few pictures of the boat. It turned out really nice and includes the new servo tray I made for the Warpath. The boat is going to Carlo at CC Racing for testing and tuning before shipping to Australia.

Looks fast Marc! Why is the rudder on all the Warpath's is on the left side? Guess I ought to start reading all the Warpath articles, huh? LOL Brian

I know of two that are running the rudder on the right with success, they are Scott Schneider and Will Nichols. The boat really seems to do well with the rudder on either side. I simply prefer the pull to turn on the rudder myself when the boat will accept it. :)

Yep Brian i have the rudder on the right on mine, and it does quite well with it. I went with the right since Marc had already set his boat up on the left, and we were trying to see if the boat was hardware sensitive, which it appears not to be.

I also like it on the right vs left myself, as putting the rudder on the left kinda brought me back to running Whiplash with rudder on the left, and knowing how you cant go left at all with them at speed. I can make left corrections without having to get out of the throttle with my Warpath without it lifting the sponson and blowing off.
