Interesting. You're the first person I've seen who has put the sides on before the bottom. If you had the bottom panels laser cut also they may be too small, because they were designed to fit inside the sides, not overlap them on the bottom as you are doing. The sides were designed to extend below the bottom and the resulting vee formed between the sides and the bottom was meant to be filled to form spray rails. Those laser cut parts do look great tho. Wish I had a laser, it would save a lot of time when building. Doug

That's a nice build. First time I see that boat laser cut. I have a CNC router here, I was thinking of maybe cutting up a kit with the plans and giving it a shot over the winter if I can find some spare time. Wouldn't be as accurate in the slots as the Lazer, but wouldn't take much by hand to get a nice tight fit. :) Great job, keep us posted as the build goes. I'm liking wood more and more!

Nice job Kenny. I'm building a variation of this hull(The prowler) from DWR9 and I had it laser cut as well. It turned out really nice. Check it out. (My first build on MGB). Good luck with the build. I'll be watching.

Today i sent file to my laser cutting to have the bulkhead top frame made to add to the short bulkhead frame in order to support the top sheeting .I did not like to have the top sheeting hanging into just air
Also I order some HIGH STRENGTH CARBON FIBER FABRIC 12K SPREAD TOW PLAIN WEAVE to do cover boat .I do with Epoxy Resin
