Marc was talking about those not too long ago...thought i remember him saying he was maybe gonna try them out, but not sure if he ever ordered any.

Ive been thinking of trying some of the Power HD servos. They have outstanding torque ratings, especially for the price. But like most servos like that...it brings up the "is it too good to be true" flag.

$20 for a 236oz servo sure is a nice deal though. Likely will try one in one of my rc cars/trucks first before thinking about sticking one in a boat.

I was indeed going to order some of those aluminum case ones from Hobby King...never did though... have to put together a list of other stuff I need first... Was also looking at some the Gizmo was selling...they are around $30 if I remember correctly. Not sure of the quality of all these new servos really, but in the end, a lot of them probably come from the same source, even some of the name brand ones. I`ve always found it hard to beat the Hitec 755MG really...economical and strong.

I did see a couple of the digitals Gizmo is selling and they sure looked good.
But then again as with any product it's quite easy to package garbage in a pretty package and sell the bling
Agree with Marc on the Hi-Tec servos, had little too no trouble with them.

A run away boat going to cost a WHOLE LOT more than a few bucks you saved going for cheaper unknown radio gear .... JMO

Hi Folks

I think that Scott summed up the scenario nicely in respect of a run away boat.

Personally I would not compromise on radio gear by moving away from a trusted and tested make. The servo in question may indeed eventually be recognised as being a good one.

Until that time I will stick to the ones I use which are the Hi-Tec servos.
