Thanks. Thats a fine concept and really an inspiration for me. Makes me consider a simple and rugged cat with long pontoons towards the front. But NOT with air-props, as it also should have space in the aft for a miniature fishing pole on the deck. (You should know that I have some issues about salmons after breaking my leg in Norway).

And now off to the workshop again!

If this isn't a joke, I think that you should buy and test one yourself, and then let me know about it.

BTW I have found out how to make the best retreival / remote fishing boat.
No need for it right now, as I have my own 21' boat to launch from.
But maybe I'll build the MPRB next winter (in a year).

Woodie, the wheels in my head never stop turning!! On your MPRB, why not use a cheap Graupner jet drive...NO PROP TO CUT THE LINE!!! Plus with the reverse bucket add-on, you've got the capability to back up in slough, then when ya get one on the hook...JUST GAS IT AND YANK HIM OUT!!!!!!!!!!

What would you rather do? Hook a fish..and then cut the line with your prop.. Or hook a fish..and take him home and eat him later? Seems to me..I'd rather eat him!!!!!

Your'e right. The biggest fishes I never caught were those who got away!
But about the prop on the MPRB, I have some idea of mounting a plywood plate that prolonges the deck past the stern and well over the prop - just to protect the prop from tangeling with the fishing line.
I think that will work - unless you go in reverse, that is...
