i am settig up a 46 inch mono phantom 2 with a long stinger drive with rudder on side and like any help on how far back the rudder should be thanks

Without having any experience with this particular mono you have, I can tell you that in general my monos have performed best with the leading edge of the rudder about even with the trailing edge of the prop. At least somewhere in that area. Rudder C/L at 2.5 inches to the right of the hull C/L.
