New here to the forum and to rc boats. Well today i went to go see my dad for fathers day, and he said he had something for me. He brought out this massive rc boat. He said i could have it but it need some work. I thought i would post it up here so i can show my progress on it, and hope to get some suggestions when i get stuck. This is my first boat but i been flying helis and planes for about 4 years. This build might take a while because i want to do it right but also cheap as i can. Right now the boat has a Mitsubishi T110. I was told that this motor is very under powered for this boat. Plus it has alot of corrosion on it so new motor will go in. First thing i want to do is strip all old things out of it clean it really good then give it a fresh paint job. Any comments or suggestions welcome.

Cool boat and the paint is in great shape. I think I would completely gut it and go over the inside with a moist cloth and WD 40 then a little diluted simple green. Lots of corrosion on the metal there. Looks like it loved the saltwater.

Might wannt to check out www.gizmomotors.com as well to look into a Zenoah 260 motor. He has them for $199. I haven't seen them cheaper.

Thanks for the comment man. The paint is in fairly good shape but i want to sand it down and pain it up different. Also could you explain the moist cloth and WD-40 thing. All i did was wash the inside out with some dish soap. Thanks for the link to the motor that is def the best price i have seen for one. Thanks again for the help.
