I built this boat with no plans or kit 100% my design and my 13yr old is the pilot never had driven an outrigger before not to bad! Recieved the 7.5 mac pipe today testing this weekend.

Thank you ran much better with the new pipe blew a front seal so it shortened my boating this weekend but drew a big crowd and ran great!!!

I agree...looks cool and ran pretty good for first time out and with a 3.5cc pipe! With the right pipe and some fine tuning I think it do real good. Congrats on your father/son build...that's awesome!

I first initially set the pipe length long and worked my way in to 12" it poped up on plane alot quicker.I had the front right sponson break away from the hull during my Son's high speed turn yesterday.I used Carbon Fiber tail booms from a helicopter and had to obviously drill through them to attach them to the boom blocks.Thats were the break took place.I will order new ones and slide a piece of brass tubing to the area that needs drilled and make sure I have more of the carbon fiber tube inside sponsons before drilling. should fix that problem.
More power more speed=more fun more repairs!!!

With carbon tubes, I've seen guys use K&S brass in the sponsons...just big enough that it slides over the carbon booms, allowing the carbon tubes to go into the sponsons a bit. Then you put a clamp over the brass squeezing it to the carbon...no holes, no week spot. Make sense?

yea, I know this also. I used bolts because I was having a hard time finding the clamps for 1/2" brass tubing.were could I get these?

www.mcmaster.com they have some nice aluminum ones...all different sizes.
