Nice project. Without knowing much about your boat, I think you could probably gain a bit of speed be switching to a surface drive setup (and propping accordingly) and also by adding a tuned pipe instead of a straight pipe like you have now.

Very nice looking hull, subsurface drive is ok not sure about props for that as ive never ran sub surface drives lol.You may find a slightly bigger prop will help as weedy engines dont rev so high so we usually use bigger props.Maybe try a 70 mm or 75 mm diam prop.Unless your engine is modified a tuned pipe wont do much to be honest. As i said on the other thread check the carb diam and maybe go a little bigger such as the walbro wa 167.

Yea a wet pipe has water injected into it,most use a dry pipe with water cooling :) water doesnt enter pipe just into a chamber usually sealed with o rings. Most also have a cooling flange at the header also.I just checked your video out she seems to handle pretty well in the rough water.Never gonna be a speed demon with a stock weedy engine but def fun.Once you find the right prop that will help but you could allways modify the motor some there are threads on how to if you dont know.

Heres one i built for someone it had a tuned pipe, this was its first outing with an oversized prop about 25 mph.Still went ok but once we got the right prop it was a lot better probs arround 35 mph.

I thought my vent was fine but it wasnt,id dbl check lol.If its not that has your tank got a clunk?,have you checked the carb diaphram for wrinkles also.I didnt think you were running a hatch ?,air cooled motors need to be run open top.As regards mods you can port the engine, theres a few how to,s arround.

Nice work,
Is that radio box sealable? It would worry me being so close to the fuel tank.
