I saw that video a little while back and contemplated doing something the same. BUT the costs are enormous for off the shelf jet engines. Again but. it adds a whole new concept to RC Boating, as I said the costs are enormous especialy buying a gross of ear plugs every week, but then again at my age my hearing is already shot.

I saw that video about a year ago. Probably the coolest rc hydro on the planet. I can only imagine the unbelievable amount of time and money that went into it. I am assuming that was scratch built around the turbine. The sound of thing is priceless and I think I would take it to the lake, start it up and then shut it down while calling it a day with a smile on my face.

We shot this video, I think it was in 2006. We were in Florida for the Winter Nats and Peter Muller had brought this boat for exhibition. They would not let him run it at the race pond because of insurance, so we went to another pond to see it run and that's when this video was shot...thus the small pond. Roger Newton who did the plans for the boat was there with us, as well as Peter of course, he's the guy starting and driving the boat. The boat was really NOT being pushed, pond was way too small!
