Where did you drill, there must'nt be any holes in the jug above the exhaust gate :).

Please post pics of what you did. It sounds to me like the pump in the carb is no longer working. What did you tap the pressure for... for a carb external pulse or for a water pump? Picture sure would help!

Aeromarine drilled and taped it it is drilled thru the allready tapped hole located on the jug about 2" above the output shaft looking at the output side of the motor it is to the right ot the crankshaft and up towards the spark plug about 2"

Only thing that seems possible is that the length and diameter of hose/plumbing to water pump is excessive.
* The internal volume of this added plumbing INCREASES the crankcase volume. doing so DECREASES engines air/fuel pumping efficiency.

:? I would as a test, Remove hose from case fitting & cap off fitting.
See if engine now starts :?

You did not mention what this pressure tap is used for (if you did I missed it). I agree with what Scott is saying. Could be caused by additional (excessive) volume in tubing. Running a test as Scott prescribed would help narrow it down. If you are using the tap for external pulse to the carb, you will have to ensure you still have pulse to the carb via internal pulse hole in carb block and block off fitting installed on carb for this line. If it's used for a water pump, just block it off at the cylinder and make sure the pulse holes line up in carburetor and carb block. Did you change anything else? Remove carb block maybe? Check that it's on right side up, and make sure you don't have air leaks. Same goes for pulse line, make sure there are no air leaks and keep line as sort as possible and try to find non-collapsible vacuum line to use there. Old used/hardened tygon can work if you have nothing else. Pictures really would help though.

Have you checked to see if the plug is getting fuel to it or it is flooded. Likely a dry engine or flooded. Even with that fitting wide open it would probably still start although it would be lean and not idle down. Make sure you are getting fuel to the top is all. I sometimes let a engine sit for a length of time and they can be a bear
to start because everything has dried out, get it fired once many times by having to put a little fuel in the plug hole and all is back to normal starting one or two pulls everytime thereafter.
