i have been told that this engine i have bought is a j&g billet motor can any one tell anything as it is a bit different to the current engines.

That is an early billet version of the Zenoah 2 port G230 engines.
Jack made them in both 32mm bore (22.5 cc) and 34mm bore (25.4 cc )

* The new J&G billet engines are based off the 4 port design of the G260 engines.

Your older 2 port will be a great play boat engine, but won't get close in performance too the newer 4 ports, Zenoah or a J&G :(
