Scott,
may be it help, I place here a pic with pipe before honing, engine runs well.
After honing, set a pipe 1" back for normal running. Prop is same.
Prop is mod Octura X472, dia 71 mm.

Really no reason for the engine to change it's tune unless ?

* You honed the bore excessive changing the diameter enough piston is now too loose within bore ?

* Pipe WAS too short all along and you are just discovering this fact ?

* Or you are running too much prop or changed the engine load by a prop tweak or something along those lines ?

If engine is running just as well as before .... Don't sweat it :dance2:

my big thanks for your hints and answers,
I will be asking you longer :blush:


- the honing was VERY thin, just for restoring of grid.
no any changes of diameter, piston set fine. I think about of engine's power peak in the past ? No?


- first (short) setting a pipe give me a wonderful speed, my prop running good as well... I try to change different props, but it work better one.

I will be work with pipe, props, and try, try...
