in the one current of modding, please let me know your view point for piston weight. I use a Hanson M-cut pistons and happy. Some our guys are cuts off inside a pistons and gets it less 20-19 gramm...and try to less...

The J&G top end pictured was assembled with one of the Newer RCMK S-254 pistons. They are VERY light weight, tapered shape & a nice fit & finish. * Did have too trim the squish contact area on piston @ .010" to get the right clearance tho.

Loss of torque from piston ring not seated in yet would be my guess.

* Did you install a Fresh ring ?
