I take it there is a Champion plug on there... if you have a spare try that first. Check with my brother I think he should have a few spares...try to get some NGK if you can. Also adjust pickup coil gap with a business card, or pull it up as far as it will go and set it there...make sure it's not touching the flywheel. Also, if you are using anodized mounts or any mounts with coil relocating bracket try running a ground wire from the pickup coil ... you will see one of the screw holes has a metal insert ...run the wire from that screw to engine case. Let me know if any of this helps.
As for the coil testing information (and some other great stuff) that disappeared from the boards here, that is MY fault
