Turbo'd Crank Question for Scott.

QDRevenger created the topic: Turbo'd Crank Question for Scott.

Hey Scott,

Quick on for you, IYO how would you turbo a crank for a RE? Would you taper from the inside to put the flow to the middle of the crank? Using an RCMK RE piston with piston ports.

Thanks in advance;)

Being the transfer passages now fall in line with the crank throw, your mod to crank ( If at all even required ? ) might be too sharpen up the INSIDE leading edges so the displacement of air by the counter weights leading edge will be to push the air INWARD between the crank halfs.

So YES, your thinking is correct B)

Yeah I have done plenty on side exhaust motors, standard mod, just looking at something different for a rear exhaust.

** The stuffed cranks are CY units and Do Not hold up well in high RPM applications like a QD ;)
Personally, stay with a Zenoah crank or possibility the new RCMK crank ? ( Which is a real beefy unit )
