Hello boaters i have a qd which the carb the original one is the barrel type and i like to change it, cause tha middle needle someone messed up with it anD i cannot turn it with the screw driver.So im asking wich carb will suit for this engine it is a rear ex. Thanks for now MARK:(

I run a 257 with no issues on my QD. 2-1/2 on the low, 1 to 1-1/8 on the high.


The new motors come with a modified 644.

The 644 is the one that came on the standart zenoah with the prime bulb on top?

I would be inclined to get a new barrel from Quickdraw, costs like $16 and has a new needle, you will get more power with the WYK-33 but it tricky to get right.

With the 257 I could never get rid of the top end miss no matter how much I modded or tweaked it. I do know that Will has had good success with the 257.

644 does come with a pump bowl, but you can remove it and block of the fuel circuit. I prefer a modded 603 myself, runs nice and consistant over 20k+. I could show you some pics if you are interested.

Andrew believe me i was thinking about it today and said if the 257 will work fine why Todd done the wk33.In the web site there was the result of different carb flow plus performance.The thing is that here i asked no one run the qd with this carb for long they will find later that the 257 will kick that baby better.Now the venturi size of the wk33 is bigger than 257 so i am going to take a chance and try to repiar the wk33 or find the other one you told me 603.Thankyou Andrew i will tell you what i found.
