Gumby112087 created the topic: Carb Fuel Inlet Mod
Just wanted to share the fuel inlet Mod that i picked up from Butchtheboatman .
Any time you reposition the fuel inlet on your carb you are asking for an air leak. Simply snap the black plastic off , then use a pair of visegrips to grab ahold of the brass insert then clamp down and twist while pulling the fitting out. Then run a 10/32 tap in the hole to make threads , then dab a little Blue locktite on a water fitting and screw in. This makes for a Leak proof fitting and never a chance of an air leak.
I personally chased my boat in the recovery boat for at least 3 weeks after changing everything trying to figure out why it was stalling every couple of laps.

Thanks for sharing that, Yup a GREAT mod for sure.
I have many carbs myself with this done.
Too bad we can no longer get the K&B 45 degree fittings
