Just wondering if anybody cc-ed the ports on a finished race engine. to find the finished port size.

Never have seen the need .... ignorance is bliss I guess :-\

I would guess that port area and flow direction are much more important than transfer passage volume. If that wasn't the case, the Zenoah G 23 with two transfers would develop more power than the otherwise similar 230 with four transfers.
