I just bought 2 bottles of Honda HP-2 and got a little sticker shock. Is $6.95 for a 16 oz. bottle about normal?
Is there a comparable oil that is cheaper or is something that I'll have to deal with.
The parts dept. at my local Honda dealership isn't known for low prices.

I pay over $10 for it here Ron, so yeah, sounds pretty good to me! Expensive stuff, but it's GREAT stuff IMO. Just remember as stated, break in engines with a good conventional oil first! I had one I that was suffering from blow back at the ring and couldn't figure out why til Carlo asked me if I broke it in with conventional oil or HP2...guess what my answer was! I swapped the ring (a second time) and ran some conventional oil through it for a few tanks and then went back to HP2 and it's all good!

I'm waiting for some of the Amsoil Saber to show up with an order from Warehouse Hobbies. I was just trying to fill up an order a little more so I had them toss it in. I did finally locate an Amsoil dealer in town, some guy selling it out of his home so I'll have to do a price comparison.

I'm running Amsoil in my boats, 6 oz per gallon. Some may find that a little lean, but it seems to run well in my boats. Gas Boat Racing.com sells it by the quart for 9.99.

I've run nothing but Amsoil in my large gas planes since about 1999 and I use it in my boats as well. Never had an issue. I ran 100 to 1 in the planes and run 16 to 1 in boats (8 ounces per gallon).
