i have seen a carb mod where there is no screw in the center ...who makes this modification...HELP...tired of the screw coming loose ant destroying my engines

The carb you are referring to, was a 257 done by Insane boats.
The screw coming lose can be fixed by complete cleaning of the male and female threads with acetone, and applying red Loctite on assembly. Extra insurance is to peen the end of the threads after assembly. Also make sure your end points on the servo are just set to stop and WOT. If they are forcing the butterfly, it can start to losen the screw.
