how to tell when to replace a Zenoah jug

tootalltechie created the topic: how to tell when to replace a Zenoah jug

For a guy on a budget I was wondering if this cylinder is toast and use it to practice porting or should port it then use it?

thanks for the info

I would say if there are no marks above the intake or exhaust ports, then go for it.

My plan for 2014 is to learn to CNC port these engines. My thinking is if Carlo can do it, why can't I.

As Steve said, check/debur the rest of the cyld., port it and enjoy your work.

Make sure to use 8 to 10 oz./gal of quality oil.

Well I did some work on my cylinder. It was easy to tell when i was through the plating. I was hard to keep a steady hand at the edge of the plating. I also did my case....found out what was too much. Cleaned my case with MEK , table spoon of JB weld on the outside and I have a backup case.

Carve away there Mr Gordon - I have 4 or 5 new 26 Zen jugs come grab a new one when you want one
