K30's are indeed different !!

Not sure of the latest production cylinders ? .. but ALL the K30 I have seen are MIS-ALIGNED in terms of the closed transfer passage to outlet window within cylider.
This creates a HUGE flow restriction and can be made larger with some careful hogging out or ** REMOVE the cylinder wall portion of the transfer passage making it an OPEN TRANSFER design like the S254/Evo jugs.

We have just finished doing that and have taken photos , will post soon

Havn't put together yet as racing my redline sport hydro this weekend

Wil post outcome when it's together and running

P.S just for interest my sport hydro is an " herzog " number 005 !

NOT MY PICTURES ... But ones I took off JRCBD showing a modified K30 with enclosed transfer port uncovered ;)

Hi,thanks for the pictures,(K30s barrel) what changes would you make to the piston and base gasket thickness with these mods on the pictured barrel?

Piston maybe just some profiling alongs sides of and on pin boss areas.
Gaskets need to be opened up in size for the bigger transfer passages.
If splitting cases ? Trough above bearings need to be further cut back again matching gasket to the cylinders transfer passage shape.

It's called BLUEPRINTING :laugh:

I m going to try to port my K30rz .Do you have more fotos of the head afther porting??And the piston?
Can you advise what is the opening in the transfer that we see in the photo like an inlet??

Looks like a brass fitting... Possibly a pulse tap? Can we see the outside of the jug a that area please?
